A great getaway for nature lovers and walkers, the glamping site is nestled in a picturesque valley and offers stunning views of Blencathra to the West.

Top 6 things to do in the Lake District
Rugged, untamed and beautiful, the heart of the Lake District has much to offer. Here are our suggestions of things to do on your trip.
The nearest National Cycle Network route is route 71, the C2C which is 1.5 miles from site. There are many other routes to pick up within a mile of the site including mountain bike routes for those wanting something a little tougher.
Keen walkers will love this glamping site for its Lake District location. There's an excellent footpath around Ullswater and a dog walk from the site on forest tracks. You'll also find plenty of maps and guides for sale with details of routes in the local area.
Explore the Lake District by water with a sailing, power boating or kayaking trip. There are plenty of companies to choose from in the local area so you'll be in safe hands with a professional guide if needed. For the really adventurous (and super fit!), the Lake District Ski Club operates nearby and offers a great way to explore the area with an adrenaline rush to boot.
Hadrian's Wall is around an hour from site and well worth a visit from your base at Troutbeck. The wall itself was built by the Romans and stretches for 300 miles.
There are plenty of places to eat in the Lake District, with traditional British cuisine at the forefront of many of the local restaurants.
Just five minutes from site, the Troutbeck Inn serves a delicious Sunday Roast, or a little further afield in Keswick, Merienda is a café/restaurant offering a varied lunch and dinner menu.
Get up close with wildlife at Lake District Wildlife Park. With everything from eagles to lemurs and snakes, you'll find something for the whole family.
For those wanting to explore the Lake District in style, adventurers will enjoy the numerous quad biking trails in the area or those with younger children may prefer Ullswater Steamers on Ullswater Lake.
