Facilities
Our picturesque Clumber Park campsite is surrounded by woodland, set within 4,000 acres of lush parkland, perfect for walking and cycling. Clumber Park is part of what was once Sherwood Forest, and there are plenty of links to Robin Hood to discover here. Ideal for families, couples and lone rangers, this little campsite is a nature lover's dream.
There are plenty of places to walk and cycle nearby, including Clumber Park itself which has signposted wide, flat paths, wildlife and great views. Robin Hood Way is also nearby, offering a 105 mile route across Nottinghamshire. The nearest National Cycle Route to Clumber Park is number 6 which links Derby to York.
Explore the Creswell Crags, fascinating caves which tell the story of life 50,000 years ago. You could also head to Chesterfield to find out about the ‘Crooked Spire’ or visit the market every Monday, Friday or Saturday.
If you’re up for a bit more adventure, you could try archery at one of National Archery’s spectacular shooting ranges in Budby, or try a Segway tour in nearby Thoresby or Worksop.
The Garden Tea House and Clumber Park Restaurant are at Clumber Park National Trust if you'd like to stay close to camp. Otherwise, head to Worksop (around 15 minutes' drive) for everything from gastropubs to coffee shops. The Olive Grove in the town centre offers delicious Meditteranean food.
If you're visiting in September, the Clumber Park food festival is held in the heart of the forest, and offers a great opportunity to experience culinary delights and sample local beverages.
Yorkshire Wildlife Park is around half an hour away and makes a lovely day out for the whole family. With over 70 species to discover and both indoor and outdoor play areas, your little ones won't want to leave!
In the warmer months, The Canch is a great place to take the children. Just under 20 minutes’ drive from the campsite, this park is home to an outdoor gym area, play equipment, a multi-use games area and a water fountain splash park.
