  • Walking Walking

There is a coastal path outside the site entrance.

Stonehaven is so much more than a pretty seaside town. Thanks to its fireball festival and its proximity to one of Scotland's most iconic castles, there’s so much to discover by foot. The ‘Scot Free’ walking tour of Stonehaven tells you the stories behind the landmarks - featuring tales of religious discord, the Titanic and birth of the deep fried Mars bar.

Follow the route and solve the mysteries on the Heritage Treasure Hunt, a three mile walking route around Stonehaven, littered with sneaky clues on interesting & quirky permanent features for you and the little ones to solve.
