  • Cycling Cycling

    Just a few minutes from the campsite is Berstead Brooks Nature Reserve. The well-trodden tracks covers over 46 acres, weaving through countryside and is suitable for cyclists of all abilities.

    If you are looking to hire bikes; there is Costal Cycles in Littlehampton, making it really easy to explore the beautiful Sussex coast line.

  • Walking Walking

    Explore the eastern edge of Pagham Harbour, with its landscape full of big skies and ever-changing bird life. Head to Pagham RSPB Nature Reserve, a little patch of wilderness right in the middle of the South coast.

     

    Picturesque Bosham is also nearby and offers a gorgeous walk along the harbour with plenty of pubs to stop off at and have a bite to eat. Bosham also has renowned Sailing Club which offers training courses for beginners as well as the more experienced.

    Opened in 1962 with Sir Laurence Olivier as its first artistic director, the Chichester Festival Theatre is a venue renowned for high-quality productions, and is a hub for the local community. The Chichester Festival stages home-produced plays (modern and classic), musicals, workshops and talks throughout the season from April to September.

     

    The Tinwood Estate Vineyard offers vineyard tours and wine tasting, if you’re looking to experience something a little different.  

  • Pubs and restaurants Pubs and restaurants

    Traditional English pubs are dotted around the area including The Waverley offering  lovely Sunday roasts and Gribble inn which has its own micro-brewery.

     

    Stay close to the beach and sit in the sunshine whilst you enjoy coffee or indulge in a kiln-cooked smoked salmon nicoise at the fantastic Lobster Pot. Treat yourself to a meal at the relatively new addition to the Bognor cuisine scene at Mustards, with their stunning brunch menu.

     

    Set just outside the city, within the picturesque Goodwood Estate in Singleton is The Partridge Inn. The pub has a warm, relaxed atmosphere with a beautiful garden to roam in, making it worth the venture out.

  • Family Days Out Family Days Out

    Bring your swimming costumes and head to the shingle beach at Pagham, just 15 minutes from the campsite. Reputed to be one of the sunniest beaches in the UK, it’s a popular spot for swimming, windsurfing and the local yacht club.

     

    Budding Brian Cox’s should check out The South Downs Planetarium Science Centre, with its Star Theatre and 10m dome. Experience convincing celestial events like eclipses, comets and meteor showers, alongside fascinating commentary.

     

    Discover the Bognor Museum dating back to the million year old fossils through to the local history. Exhibits include displays of vintage cameras throughout the ages, a recreated Victorian kitchen, scale models of the Esplanade theatre and the Southdowns Art Deco Bus station.
