Before you arrive, we want to ensure you have everything you need in order to have a relaxing and fun glamping break away.

From time to time there may be important information you need to be aware of ahead of your arrival, from Dark Sky Sites to travel updates or changes to our facilities. There may also be some additional extras that you can purchase ahead of your stay to make your visit extra special.

North of England

Coniston Park Coppice

Cumbria

Coniston is a dark sky site, pack a torch and prepare for great views at night!

The water meter on site will be replaced on Wednesday 12 August. The water supply will be off for at least one hour between 1pm and 5pm while the work is being carried out.

Park Gate, the access road to the site, will be closed nightly for resurfacing from 1–7 June, between 6:00pm and 5:00am.

There is a selection of food vans at the campsite available for you to enjoy.

Thames Water closed Bourton Road from the High Street over the weekend of 26/27 Sept due to urgent repairs. The road will remain closed for up to 3-weeks. To access the site:-

If travelling through Stow on the A429, take the A424 towards Evesham and turn right on the A44. There are road closure signs on the A44 but you may pass to access the campsite.
If arriving via the Fosse Way (A429) from the North, travel through Evesham and onto the A44. There are road closure signs on the A44 but you may pass to access the campsite.

There is a selection of food vans at the campsite available for you to enjoy.

The Sandringham Estate

Due to the current spell of high temperatures the use of charcoal barbecues will not be permitted at this site.

There is a selection of food vans at the campsite available for you to enjoy during the summer months.

Brighton is a dark sky site, pack a torch and prepare for great views at night!

Chef Philppe is closed until the 18 October

Due to the recent dry weather and more forecast to come, the use of disposable BBQs on site is currently banned. The fire pit and individual chineneas are also unavailable.

S&J's Food Hut and Pizzeria - Daily (7am to 7pm)

Abbey Wood

London

Essential maintenance works will be carried out on the B Block ablution facilities from Monday 17 August to Wednesday 19 August. During this period, the Ladies' toilets may need to close temporarily at times while the repairs are being completed.

The main vehicle gate is closed between 22:00 and 08:00 (the pedestrian gate remains accessible 24/7). If you need to leave earlier than 08:00 on the day of departure then please speak to the site office staff the day before to arrange parking outside the gates (Late Night Arrivals area) overnight.

Isle of Wight

Southland is a dark sky site, pack a torch and prepare for great views at night!

Great news - Fast check-in is in operation at Southland campsite. Five days prior to your arrival, you will receive instructions by Text on how to use fast check-in and to confirm your vehicle registration. For more information visit camc.com/fastcheckin.

Winford Road will be closed from the 05 October for a new mains water pipe to be installed, site staff have arranged site access with the contractors so please turn left at Watery Lane, continue straight onto Harbours Lake Lane, turn left at the end of the lane, site is on the left.

Bingham Grange Bridport

Dorset

Minor adjustments to the new facility block will continue for approx 3 weeks and the children's play area and onsite dog walk will not open until around 3rd Sept whilst final works to fit out these brand new areas conclude. Dog walking is available directly from the site but we ask that dogs are kept on a lead due to farm animal grazing.

Dark Sky Campsites

What are Dark Sky Discovery Sites?

A dark sky site means you're far enough away from light pollution meaning the sky is extra dark at night and it makes it possible to see over 1000 stars without the need for a telescope. We are very fortunate here in the UK with so many fantastic areas for stargazing and in some of these places, it’s even possible to see our Milky Way.

If you're an astrology enthusiast or just fancy a spot of stargazing, these could be the top sites for you to visit in the UK.

Dark Sky Sites are in the middle of nowhere, so it's advisable to pack an extra torch for walking around the campsite after dark.

What should I bring?

In the glamping pods, glamping cabins, safari tents and yurts, we provide bedding and basic necessities but you may want to bring additional items such as a hair dryer, towels, toiletries, and games.

Towels are also available for hire. Please contact our team by calling 01342 777533, emailing [email protected] or using our webchat.

If you’re snuggling up in one of our camping pods for the night, you’ll need to bring your own bedding and camping equipment too (including cooking equipment).
